Interval ordering: ordered before the show, ready for the interval

Guests order and pay for food and drinks for a specific performance, on the day or days before. The kitchen slip only prints at the time you have chosen, with the performance written on it.

Open for orders, even when the bar is closed
The slip waits

Ordered in advance. Printed exactly when you want it.

Nothing prints when the guest pays. The order waits until the time you have chosen relative to curtain-up. Then it prints with the performance written on it, and the bar can get everything ready in peace.

The slip prints
The time is 18:30 14 orders waiting Paid in advance. Nothing has printed yet.

You pick the time from a list running from 2 hours before to 1 hour after curtain-up. If you serve in the interval, just pick a time after curtain-up.

What the guest sees

The guest picks the performance just before paying

When the bar is closed, “Order now” is greyed out with the opening time on it, while pre-ordering stays open. The guest picks their items and their performance, then pays. The performance stays on the order all the way.

1Pre-ordering is open, even when the bar is closed
2The guest picks the performance, day by day
3The performance is on the order before the guest pays
  • The first 7 days with performances come first. The rest is one tap away.
  • If a performance can no longer be ordered for, the guest is told and picks another one.
  • Guests order in the browser, no app to download.
1–365 days

How far ahead guests can order. You decide, and the default is 14 days.

2 h before to 1 h after

When the slip can print, relative to curtain-up. The default is 30 min before.

0–360 min

How long after curtain-up guests can still order. After that, ordering closes by itself.

Features

Programme, order and slip, all connected

You add the performances once. heywaitr handles the rest, from the guest’s choice to the slip at the bar.

The programme in a calendar

Click a date and type the time and name. Playing three times on a Saturday? Add three performances.

The whole season in one go

Choose a name, time, period and weekdays, and every date lands in the calendar. Afterwards each date can be edited or deleted on its own.

Open when the bar is closed

Guests can pre-order in the morning, the day before or on the train on the way in. “Order now” follows your opening hours and shows when you open.

The performance on the slip

The slip says FORESTILLING 19:30 (performance 19:30) in large print. If you use OnlinePOS, the order reaches the till with the performance in the note when the slip prints.

“Order now” in the foyer

Guests on site can order for right now. The order goes straight to the kitchen, with the performance on it instead of a table number.

Sales per performance

Examples

What an evening could look like

Six examples of how a theatre or venue can use it.

19:40slips out

Ready for the interval

The performance starts at 19:30. The theatre has chosen “10 min after curtain-up”, so the slips print at 19:40 with FORESTILLING 19:30 in large print. The bar sets everything out before the interval starts.

09:12day before

Ordered while the bar is closed

A guest orders on Tuesday morning for Wednesday’s performance. The bar only opens in the evening, but pre-ordering is open. The order sits quietly until the slip is due on Wednesday evening.

2stages

Two stages, one bar

The main stage plays at 19:00, the small stage at 20:00. The guest picks their performance, and every slip says which one. So the bar knows which interval the order belongs to.

35dates

The whole season in one go

Tuesday to Saturday at 19:30, from 3 November to 19 December. The series puts all 35 performances in the calendar. If an evening is cancelled, that date is deleted on its own.

+20min

Latecomers

Ordering stays open until 20 minutes after curtain-up. Guests who took their seats at the last minute can still order for the interval. After that, the performance closes for orders by itself.

POStill

The till keeps up

The guest paid yesterday, but the till sees the order tonight. With OnlinePOS the order reaches the till when the slip prints, with the performance written in the note.
